The Town of Claresholm has built up the necessary infrastructure to service the community today and well into the future. This infrastructure includes state-of-the-art water treatment facilities, a wastewater management system that is currently being expanded, a municipal cemetery, parks and recreation facilities, and waste management services. Bylaws ensure the proper management of the community and are enforced by our Municipal Enforcement Officer.
The Town of Claresholm provides residential garbage pickup.
New garbage collection service began the week of December 11th, 2023.
Curbside garbage collection uses the same zones as the Recycling Program.
If your recycling is collected on Wednesday, your garbage collection is TUESDAY.
If your recycling is collected on Thursday, your garbage collection is THURSDAY.
Garbage collection continues to be WEEKLY.
Please have your garbage bin in front of your house with wheels against the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day.
Ensure 1 metre of clearance on all sides and rear of bin for pickup access.
Please bag all garbage in the bin.
THE LID MUST BE ABLE TO CLOSE.
Overloaded bins will not be picked up.
Large bulky items will not be collected.
Absolutely no furniture, tires or construction waste.
No hazardous, toxic or flammable materials permitted.
Dumpsters will be available for public use at the Town Shop 424 - 41 Avenue East during regular business hours.

Regional Landfill
The Willow Creek Regional Landfill is located 8 miles southeast of Town (View Map). For hours of operation or further information, contact the Landfill at 403.687.2603.
