Community Services

Claresholm takes care of its residents, offering a selection of Community Services to help facilitate transportation, nutrition, child care and inclusion of all residents of all ages. Many of these services are delivered or enhanced by our Family and Community Support Services, or FCSS.

Child Care

Claresholm Day Care

The day care is located on the south side of the Town Office, located at (5895 - 8 Street West), and cares for children from infancy through 5 years old. The facility has a licensed capacity of 47 children. Hours of operation are 6:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, and closed on statutory holidays.
Lunch and snack programs are included, as well as occasional field trips (with parental permission), such as a walk to the library or the park.
The aim of the program is to foster a child’s positive self-concept and a respect for the feelings, ideas and property of others. This facility is fully Licensed and Accredited, therefore subsidy is available through the government to qualifying families. Call 403.625.4543 for more information or fees.

Kidz Zone: School Age Care & Summer Fun
This program operates from the modulars located just north of the West Meadow Elementary School (5625 - 8th Street West). The program is licensed for up to 37 children ages 5 to 12, and hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 5:30pm and closed on statutory holidays.
